With modernization we have witnessed arts that are only comprehensible by art lovers and art fanatics’. the common man at times fail to understand the great passion behind them. Children and drawing are synonyms. You find them doodling everywhere possible in books, walls etc and, if they had the wherewithal they would make the world their canvas. Appejay School had given the children a platform to do so by organizing “ART MELA.” The enthusiastic artists of St Michael’s Academy were all set to paint their imagination on paper. The theme was ‘We Own Our Future.’ The participants were Bushra Khan, Sakshi Rajbhar, Saima Parveen, Prachi Ojha, Anushka Shaw, Nandini Sahu from the Primary Section while Afia, Tayyaba Rashid, Esha Dutta, Akash Dutta, Ranjika Chowdhury, Monalisa Das, Saima Parveen, Sreshtha Prasad, darakshan Khan and Poulomi Saha represented the Secondary Section of our school. All of them exhibited brilliant portraits in keeping with the theme. Bushra’s and Tayyaba’s drawings were selected for the final round. All the participants were given gift hampers and were encouraged to participate in such events in future.
